Our 'Limited edition' Queensberry patch zip through hoodie is made from light grey marl brushed back fleece. All vintage details are inspired from our vintage archive - the left chest patch pays homage to the 'Marquess of Queensberry rules' formed in 1867 and the first set of rules to madate the use of boxing gloves. So named as these rules were publicly endorsed by the Scottish nobleman The Most Hon. The 9th Marquess of Queensberry, hence acknowledging the rich boxing heritage of Scotland within the patch design.
The Hoodie is over 80 years old. During the 1930’s American clothing manufacturers began experimenting with fabrics traditionally used in undergarments. This fabric was designed to keep athletes warm and protected from the elements, with this innovation in fabric came innovation in shape and silhouette and the hoodie was born.
