This 'Limited edition' Queensberry 'Aldgate Sphinx' crewneck sweatshirt has come straight out of the BVB vintage sportswear archive. Made from light grey marl brushed back fleece this sweatshirt represents everything we love about vintage sweats.
This style was inspired by 'The Marquess of Queensberry rules' the first set of rules to codify the use of boxing gloves and which modern boxing is based. The graphic emblazoned on the front pays homage to the great British boxer Ted 'Kid' Lewis also known as 'The Aldgate Sphinx' - the former welterweight champion of the world, winning and losing the title between 1915-1919. During his career he would win bouts in all eight weight divisions of his era from Flyweight to Heavyweight, rarely weighing more than 10st 12lbs.
Signature back neck tape and BVB embroidered crown badge on sleeve.
